A busy week in Pointe d'Esny: sterilisations, a rescue, and new homes

Never a dull moment for this small team.

Last week we sterilised three stray dogs from Pointe d'Esny, and one of them found a new home straight after. We also used our new catch cage for the first time. It wasn't the dog we were originally aiming for, but we still caught and sterilised a stray male, so we'll call that a success.

The Le Bouchon dogs turned up for food after four of them had gone missing for a couple of weeks. Seeing them all back was a relief.

An injured dog appeared crying in our road in the early hours. We took him in, gave him what medication we could overnight, and the next morning brought him to PAWS Mauritius, Union Vale, where vet Marta is now treating him. He'll stay there under their care until he recovers.

On a lighter note, our foster puppy has gone to his new family, and now has a puppy brother. Bonnie, who was treated at PAWS and has since fully recovered, is staying with us for now. She moves to her forever home tomorrow.
